The Beeches provides care for people who need a qualified nursing care team available to them 24 hours a day. This includes people who need intensive rehabilitation for example after a stroke or a fracture, people with complex physical disabilities and people with long-term conditions and/or terminal illness. We also care for frail older people who need additional care and support with washing, dressing and other daily living activities. Our nursing care is described in person-centred care plans following a robust assessment of needs and wishes. We use the latest electronic care monitoring system specifically designed to give carers more time to spend with residents’ so they receive a better quality of care. The system also enables families to access the "relatives gateway" a secure portal for friends and family of residents in care homes to share messages and photos electronically and stay in touch as well as to find out how their loved ones are and what they have been doing. Our care plans are created in collaboration with residents and their families to help ensure that each person we look after is treated with respect and dignity and their needs are met.

If you or your loved one has a terminal illness, or are approaching the end of your life, you might want to consider making plans for your future care. Planning ahead in this way is sometimes called ‘advance care planning’ and involves thinking and talking about your wishes for how you're cared for in the final months of your life while you're still able to. Your GP should always be the first point of contact for end of life advice, support and care. They will be able to help you link to local services. Enabling people to die in comfort and with dignity is a core part of providing care, and the way care professionals approach the process will be incredibly important for you, your family and carers. At The Beeches we are proud to offer high quality comfortable end of life care by relieving pain and other distressing symptoms. At the same time providing psychological, social and spiritual support for residents and their families. Caring for someone, who is nearing the end of their life or who is living with a life-limiting condition is heart breaking but we are here to help. Feeling confident that the person you care for, is receiving the right care, in the right place at the right time, all the time by an accredited team with dignity, care, love and compassion will give you peace of mind.
